Where there is cheese there is culture. Culture that reigns in village festivals, but also the culture of centuries of history, scientific discoveries, experimentation and innovation.

Talking about cheese means exploring territories and go into the everyday life of the people who gravitate around them. You can come across legends, past stories and critical issues of the present while tasting even a small piece. If you remember to use the 5 senses that we have, the tasting becomes an all-round experience and every meaning passes through our skin.

Roero Territory

Roero is a small wine area in the hills of central Piedmont that is particularly known for refreshing Arneis white wine as well as, bold, fragrant reds made from the region’s signature grape: Nebbiolo. Definitely an Hidden gems compared to his sister Langhe.

Roero is the gateway to Piedmont’s famed wine and cuisine; dense IGT hazelnut groves grow in the flatlands,green forests rise up on the hills, and the area’s famed ochre-yellow stone are a unique terroir in their own right. Immerse yourself in the peaceful beauty of Roero and discover the region’s most renown producers of Arneis wine.

    Cheese Tour Experience


    Discover stories and universes hidden behind a cheese with Cristina.

    After a degree in International Studies, she changed her life starting her experience as dairy technician, goat breeder and farmhouse cheesemaker. She worked for important cheesemongers and affineurs in Italy and France. She met Fiorenzo Giolito, an important cheese producer, with a history that has its roots in the early 1900s. The experience in his bottega has been invaluable, handling different cheeses every day and learning to use the right knife and cutting techniques for each cheese. Gradually she realized she had an innate ability to talk about cheeses, combining her technical and communicative skills. You will walk through time and through the streets of Bra on the trail of Bra PDO cheese. You will visit to an historic cheese shop that has been maturing and selling cheeses for 100 years, with a vertical tasting of 5 types of Bra DOP

    A sensory trip of 5 cheeses of Piemonte e 3 from italy and France  paired with a selection of wines or beers to accompany.

    Private Guided Winery Tour at Cascina Chicco


    Cascina Chicco has been making wines in Roero for three generations, since founder Ernesto Faccenda planted vineyards of Nebbiolo and Barbera in the 1950s.

    They expanded the production by selecting the areas that best express the unique characteristics of native grape varieties, and now their vineyards extend from Roero to Barolo territory. Their wines range from white Roero Arneis and Favorita to red Barbera, Nebbiolo-based Roero and Barolo DOCG.

    The tour will begin with a guided visit of their new cellar which is an architectural masterpiece. It is over 5,000 square metres that descend 28 metres deep under the hill, divided into separate areas for aging, barriques, and a tasting room. At its center lies the heart and soul of the wine cellar: The Wheel Room. It was designed with a dozen arches and topped with a cupola to represent the wheel of the Roero family, the symbol of the medieval lords who ruled these land. The tour will end with a tasting of four wines in their private tasting room.
