Trentino is a certified Italian excellence in the production of sparkling wine. Thanks to vineyards located at an altitude between 200 and 900 meters above sea level and the temperature ranges present here, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Meunier develop a remarkable aromatic complexity and great elegance and freshness.
Trento DOC represents a huge part of this region’s fascinating wine production. We can mention other native varieties like Nosiola, Marzemino, Teroldego, Schiava and Enantio.
Trentino’s culinary tradition is typically mountainous, destined to provide calories and energy. There is no shortage of barley soups, potato pies and typical cheeses such as Trentingrana, a Slow Food Presidium, Stravecchio di Fiemme and Tosèla di Primiero, which can be eaten fresh with just a drizzle of sweet extra virgin olive oil from nearby Lake Garda. We must also not forget Trentino’s ancient tradition of distillation that produces renowned grappas, particularly the Piana Rotaliana.
