Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy includes four estates located in Langhe and Monferrato, home of outstanding Piedmontese wines.
Situated in Langhe, specifically in Barbaresco, Martinenga is the winery’s home: a place boasting a very ancient tradition that dates back even before the Roman era. Once inhabited by Ligurian Statielli, the Romans then consecrated the place to the god Mars, even renaming it Villa Martis, which inspired the area’s current name. At present, these hills are planted with the winery’s outstanding cru vineyards which surround the cellar like an amphitheater. Martinenga is the only Menzione Geografica (MGA) in Barbaresco to be a monopole: it is entirely and exclusively cultivated by Marchesi di Grésy. Some of the winery’s most prestigious labels come from here: Barbaresco Docg Martinenga, Gaiun and Camp Gros embody the remarkable quality produced by Marchesi di Grésy.
Not far from Martinenga, situated in the town of Treiso, is Monte Aribaldo. This is home to a vineyard dedicated to the production of Dolcetto d'Alba, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Monte Aribaldo also houses Dai Grésy, an exclusive agritourism immersed among the vineyards.
Tenute Cisa Asinari also includes Cassine, in Monferrato. La Serra is dedicated to the most iconic varieties of the area: Moscato Bianco and Barbera grapes grown here yield Moscato d'Asti and Barbera d’Asti Docg. Next to La Serra is Monte Colombo, which stands out for the production of Barbera and Merlot grapes.
