Five estates across Tuscany, 500 hectares farmed sustainably, and a portfolio that spans the region’s most important denominations.
Founded in 1967 in the heart of Chianti Classico by two young friends – Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo – Carpineto remains a family-run winery to this day. It is now one of the most recognized names in Italian wine, present in over 70 countries and celebrated for the elegance and longevity of its great reds.
From classic DOCGs to Supertuscans, from vineyard innovation to cultural engagement, Carpineto has long combined tradition with a forward-looking spirit. In the 1980s, it was the first winery to produce sparkling wines in Chianti Classico – and it continues to innovate while staying true to its roots. In Montepulciano, Carpineto has opened Le Macchine del Vino, a museum housing more than 180 historic agricultural tools. Meanwhile, its Dudda estate is home to a Wine Library that preserves rare vintages of Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile, and Brunello.
The visitor experience is enriched by guided tastings, vineyard walks, picnics, and outdoor lunches – all designed to immerse guests in the values that define Carpineto: authenticity, consistent quality, and a deep connection to the land.
Carpineto now joins The Grand Wine Tour, a network of 14 outstanding wineries across 7 Italian regions, united by a shared commitment to excellence in hospitality and wine tourism.
